About Land Escapes, Inc

Barrington grew up under bur oaks, and the old ones are still standing — wide, slow trees that throw shade in coins across the grass all afternoon. Lawn under oaks is its own puzzle: thin light, hungry roots, a scatter of leaf litter that never entirely stops. Land Escapes, Inc mows it, trims it, edges it clean against walk and drive, and hauls off the debris that gathers at either end of the growing season. On a July evening, when the mowing lines run straight down a sloping yard and the cut smells green and sharp, the whole thing looks effortless, which is exactly the trick. Grass in this town is worth doing properly.
