Oak Brook Lawn

About Oak Brook Lawn

Oak and hickory crowd right up to plenty of yards, which is lovely in June and a great deal of work come October. Oak Brook Lawn takes the fall stretch seriously — leaves gathered before they mat down and smother the turf, acorns raked out from under the beds, a final cut set low enough to carry the lawn into its dormant months. The trees let go of their color over a handful of short weeks, and timing the cleanup to that is half the craft. When it is finished there is a swept, open look to a yard that has spent the whole season under a canopy. Spring then finds that grass ready to go instead of matted and waiting.
