Four in the morning in February, Aurora is a town of engine noise — trains stirring near the old limestone roundhouse, and plow trucks out well ahead of the commute. Mountain's Man Services Inc. keeps those hours, opening drives and walks and laying salt down before ice can take hold. When the thaw comes the same trucks swap blades for mowers, and the work turns to cutting, trimming and holding lawns even through the green months. Both jobs come down to being there before you are needed. Aurora keeps odd hours; so do they.
