Monarch Landscaping & Garden Center

About Monarch Landscaping & Garden Center

Late each summer, monarch butterflies drift south across Sangamon County on their long journey to Mexico, stopping to feed in the gardens and flower beds of Auburn along the way. Monarch Landscaping & Garden Center shares its name with those travelers, and the business brings a gardener's feel for the calendar to homes in this town south of Springfield. Lawns are mowed and edged, planting beds kept shapely, and each property given room to bloom and breathe through the heat of an Illinois August. It is a garden center's instinct put to work outdoors: the sense that every lawn is a living thing, and that good tending shows in its color. In Auburn, the reward is a lawn that even the state insect pauses to visit.
