Okaw Prairie Landscapes

About Okaw Prairie Landscapes

There is a kind of January morning in Douglas County when the sky is clear, the sun is useless, and the snow simply travels — sliding across open ground until it piles against the first thing that stops it. Okaw Prairie Landscapes plows through mornings like that, opening driveways and lots around Atwood, clearing walks, and salting the places that glaze over. Along the Okaw timber the drifts curl in soft; out on the section lines they set up hard as a step. Knowing which is which is most of the work. A drive cleared down to the pavement before daylight is a small thing that changes the shape of somebody's whole day.
