Nick's Lawn Care

About Nick's Lawn Care

Amboy sits on sandy Lee County ground that drinks a rain fast and shows its dry patches by August, and a lawn here tells you everything about how it has been looked after. Nick's Lawn Care mows on that rhythm — regular cuts, trimming close around porch posts and mailboxes, edging that hands a front walk back its own clean line. On July evenings the mowers run late, the light going long and orange down the side streets. Spring and fall bring the cleanups, when a yard gets emptied of whatever winter and the maples left behind. It is ordinary work, and a well-kept Amboy block is the proof of it.
