About Madcow Outdoor Service

In January the eagles gather at Melvin Price Locks and Dam and the river runs a slushy gray, and that is the stretch Madcow Outdoor Service spends behind a plow. Drives opened, lots scraped down, walkways salted while the cold sits over town like it means to stay a while. Come June the same routes smell like cut grass, and the trucks carry mowers instead of blades — even height, tight trimming, walks cleared before leaving. Working outdoors in Alton means taking the year exactly as it comes, and both halves of it have their own kind of good day. Snow removal in the cold months, lawn care in the green ones.
