Mortimer Lawn Maintenance

About Mortimer Lawn Maintenance

Mornings on the Fox come in low and white, fog lying over the water below downtown Algonquin until the sun finally burns a hole through it. That is the hour Mortimer Lawn Maintenance likes best, when the dew still holds and a mower leaves a dark, honest track across a yard. The work is lawn care straight through: mowing, trimming, edging the walks clean, and hauling off what spring and autumn drop. A river-valley village grows grass the way the valley grows everything else, fast and thick and glad of the humidity, so keeping it right takes a steady weekly hand. By the time the fog lifts off Riverfront Park, another block of Algonquin looks the way it ought to.
