On the residential streets of Addison the year has two shapes: cut grass drifting down the block on a June evening, and a plow working two houses over at four in the morning in January. Mike's Lawn Care and Snow Removal handles both ends, mowing, trimming and edging through the season, then clearing driveways, shoveling walks and salting the steps once winter takes charge. There is a plain pleasure in a drive opened all the way to the street, apron included, before anybody has to leave for work. Summer runs on the same instinct: cut the lawn, clean the edges, get out of the way of somebody's weekend. Two seasons, one habit, and the habit is treating the place like you live on the block.
