About Colby Landscapes

Morning comes early on the upper Snake River plain, and the canal that runs past Ucon carries the light before the town is fully awake. Colby Landscapes works those first cool hours, when the grass still holds dew and a mower leaves a stripe you can read from the road. The yards here sit between wide fields, so a lawn has to hold its own against a great deal of open sky — cut close along the fence line, edged where the driveway meets the turf, clippings blown off the walk before the truck pulls away. It is ordinary work done attentively: mowing, trimming, edging, and the seasonal cleanups that take a yard from ragged to squared away. By the time the plain goes gold in the afternoon, the finished lawns along these lanes look like someone cared what they looked like from the street.
