About Turfcare Landscape Design

Stand at City Beach at noon in August and Lake Pend Oreille runs on past all reasonable distance, mountains stacked blue behind it. A yard in this town has to answer that view instead of arguing with it — which is really what design is: deciding where the lawn ends, how a bed curves, which line pulls the eye toward the water and which one tucks the propane tank out of the story. Turfcare Landscape Design draws those lines and then keeps them, planting the beds, grading and laying new turf, mowing and edging the finished thing week after week so the shape holds through the season. The compliment worth having is that nobody notices the plan at all; the yard simply seems to have always been that way. Summers up here are short and generous, and the work is making one feel longer than it is.
