About Smitty's Lawn & Snow LLC

At five in the morning in January, Rigby is dark and ten below, and the only sound on the street is a plow blade finding pavement. Smitty's Lawn & Snow LLC works that hour: driveways and lots cleared, walkways shoveled, banks pushed back so the next storm has somewhere to go, sand or salt down where the ice sets up hardest. The reward comes at seven, when a door opens onto a drive that is already clean and a car that starts on the first turn. Once the ground thaws, the same trucks come back around for mowing, trimming, edging and spring cleanup. One outfit for both ends of the year, on a plain that hands out plenty of each.
