About Cowboy Dirt Works

Northwest of town the Menan Buttes rise straight out of flat ground, two old tuff cones set down on a plain that water and wind shaped long before anyone here owned a shovel. Cowboy Dirt Works keeps its lawn care in that spirit, starting under the grass rather than on top of it: grading a low spot so it drains, hauling in topsoil, getting the ground right before seed ever touches it. Mowing, trimming and seasonal cleanups follow, because a yard out on the flats needs tending as much as it needs shaping. Wind crosses this country with nothing to slow it down, and turf built on level, honest dirt takes that wind better. The payoff is simple enough to see from the porch: ground that used to puddle now grows.
