Priest Lake Tree Service

About Priest Lake Tree Service

Highway 57 leaves Priest River heading north and climbs almost right away, switchback after switchback, into timber tall enough to shade the road by midmorning even on a clear day. Priest Lake Tree Service runs its snow route up that same grade, clearing the driveways cut into the hillside forest along the way to Coolin and Nordman. The climb changes things: what falls as rain in town three hundred feet lower can be a foot of snow twenty minutes up the highway, so this crew often starts the day working conditions nobody down in the valley has seen yet. Branches heavy with snow lean low over some of these driveways, and clearing the ground underneath means working carefully around what's hanging overhead. By the time the route loops back down into town, the crew has usually seen every kind of winter the day has to offer, all within one short drive.
