About Hofman Landscapes

In late autumn the larch turn on the ridges above the valley and go the color of a struck match for about two weeks, and then everything comes down at once. Hofman Landscapes meets that season head-on around Post Falls with leaf cleanup, final mows, bed cutbacks and hauling, clearing a property down to clean lines before the ground goes hard. The rest of the year the work is mowing, edging, trimming, bed maintenance, mulch and planting — the steady care that makes the fall cleanup possible in the first place. There is a specific pleasure in the last load of leaves leaving a driveway, the lawn suddenly visible again, wide and bare and ready. Then the valley settles in and waits, and so does the grass.
