About Northwest Tree Care LLC

Ponderay sits in the shadow of Schweitzer Mountain, close enough to Lake Pend Oreille that the air carries more moisture than it does on the drier side of the mountains, and that moisture turns into some of the heaviest, wettest snow anywhere in the state. Northwest Tree Care works the aftermath of that weight, clearing cedar and fir limbs that come down across driveways and yards once a storm off the lake has finished loading every branch it can reach. A wet Panhandle snow can double a tree's normal load in a single afternoon, and the difference between a limb that bends and one that snaps is often just a few more inches of accumulation. The crew also takes down branches still hanging by a thread after a storm, ones that would otherwise let go on their own with no one around to see where they land. Ponderay's stretch along Highway 95 keeps the crew close to Sandpoint and the lake, working the same wet, heavy snow that draws skiers to Schweitzer and buries everyone else's driveway at the same time.
