The Yard Butler

About The Yard Butler

Saturday morning on the north side, where the old brick houses stand up straight and the yards in front of them are small, square and particular — the blocks near the Standrod House have been looked after for a long while. The Yard Butler keeps that going: mowing to an even height, trimming close along wrought iron and stone, edging walks back to a single clean line, then blowing everything off. Feeding and weed control run in the background so the turf stays thick instead of patchy. Spring brings the winter's grit up out of the grass; autumn carries the leaves away before they turn to mat. What is left is a yard that looks tended, which is exactly the point.
