Late spring, and the snow line retreats a little further up Scout Mountain each week until only the north-facing draws are still holding white. Down in the valley that is the signal to wake the lawns up. Scout Mountain Landscaping opens the year with cleanups, aeration and overseeding, then settles into weekly mowing, trimming and edging once the grass really gets going. Toward Cherry Springs the ground is stony and the season is short, so nothing gets rushed and nothing gets skipped. By June the yards on the route are thick, even, and holding their color.
