K and J Mowing

About K and J Mowing

On a July evening in Alameda the light goes long and gold, the rail yard hums somewhere off to the north, and the smell of cut grass drifts down the block. That is K and J Mowing finishing a route. Mowing, trimming, edging — the ordinary weekly rounds that keep a Pocatello yard from getting away from its owner during the fast few weeks when everything grows at once. They keep the lines straight, the corners tight and the sidewalks blown clear, then move on to the next gate. Come fall they are back for the leaves and the last low cut of the year.
