About Idaho Turf Co.

Green-up comes late on the Pocatello bench, then arrives all at once: one warm week and the lawns below Red Hill turn from straw to something worth walking barefoot on. Idaho Turf Co. spends that stretch aerating compacted ground, overseeding thin corners and feeding turf that has spent five months under snow and inversion fog. The soil here runs alkaline and the water runs hard, so the work is as much about the ground as it is about the grass. Through the summer the mowing keeps a steady line — even height, clean edges along the drive, clippings off the walk before the truck pulls away. It is the sort of lawn people notice walking home from Holt Arena without quite knowing why.
