Diamond Lawn Care

About Diamond Lawn Care

Out here the morning comes across the Snake River Plain with nothing to slow it down, and by the time the canal water is running, Diamond Lawn Care is already at work in Murtaugh. This is lawn care for a high-desert farm town, where a green yard is something you make on purpose — coaxed up out of sagebrush country and kept honest against wind, dust, and the long white light of July. Mowing, trimming, edging: the clean line where turf meets the sidewalk and the drive, clippings gathered off so a yard looks finished rather than merely cut. Late in the day, when the gold comes down over the fields toward Murtaugh Lake and the South Hills go blue along the southern rim of things, a freshly striped lawn is a good thing to slow down for. That is the whole idea — yards along these section roads that look tended, week after week, from the first flush of spring green to the last cut before the cold sets in.
