About Moes Mountain Services

On the north edge of Mountain Home, where the sagebrush starts climbing toward the Danskin Mountains, the weather tends to arrive before it's technically forecast — a foot can pile up on a foothill driveway overnight while downtown barely sees an inch. Moes Mountain Services works that higher ground, the properties set back where the flats give way to the first real grade, and knows which driveways drift shut first when the wind picks up out of the north. Clearing a long gravel approach up there before a school bus or a work truck needs it is a different job than a flat suburban lot, with steeper pitches and less margin for error. There's something satisfying about being the first set of tracks up a driveway that was buried at 5 a.m., knowing the household inside is about to leave for the day without a second thought about the snow. Moes Mountain Services clears driveways and access roads on the higher ground around Mountain Home through the winter.
