First light comes over the Boise Front and slides west across Middleton before much else has moved. Sunshine tree & lawn care is out in it — mowing, trimming the fence rows, edging the walks while dew is still sitting on the blades. May is the generous month in this valley: water running in the ditches, the ground north toward Freezeout Hill turning every green there is, and lawns growing faster than any one weekend can answer.
