About Strunk's Tree Service, LLC

Climb from the riverfront up onto Normal Hill and the street trees change — the tall maples and sycamores that give the upper terraces their shade in a valley that gets genuinely hot. Strunk's Tree Service keeps that canopy in order: pruning weight off long horizontal limbs, trimming back from roofs and alley lines, removing a trunk when hollow stops being a maybe. October is a fine stretch for it, the heat finally out of the air, leaves turning while the ground is still dry enough to work on. Wind coming down off the Lewiston Hill grade tests every weak union in town, and after a night of it the days go to cutting brush out of yards and stacking rounds at the curb. What is left is simple and worth having — a clean yard, and a tree that will stand through the next one.
