The irrigation water shuts off around the middle of October and Kuna exhales — the fields go quiet, the air coming up Swan Falls Road turns sharp, and the lawns get one good month left before dormancy. The Lawnfather likes that stretch best: core aeration while the soil is still soft, overseeding into the open holes, a final low cut, and the leaves and clippings carried off instead of left to mat. Through the rest of the year it is the steady rhythm — mow, edge, trim, clear the walks — done the same way every visit so a yard never has to play catch-up. Spring cleanup opens the season, and the first mow of April is its own small holiday around here. Come June, the stripes are proof enough.
