Backcut Tree Service

About Backcut Tree Service

Irwin sits where the South Fork of the Snake River comes out of its canyon into open ranch country, cottonwood bottoms on one side and steep timbered slopes on the other, and winter lands heavier here than it does out on the valley floor toward Idaho Falls. Backcut Tree Service clears the long ranch driveways and access roads that thread through that canyon country, ground where a plow covers real distance before it ever reaches a front door. Snow slides off those canyon walls in ways that can bury a lane again even after the storm itself has passed through, so the work is as much about reading the terrain as reading the forecast. Opening a driveway below Palisades before a rancher has to feed stock, or before a cabin owner needs the highway, carries its own urgency in a place this remote. Come January, this canyon counts its visitors on one hand, and the plow truck is usually among them.
