About Perpetual Gardens LLC
Every bed that Perpetual Gardens tends along the Greenbelt near the library goes dormant sometime in November, cut back and mulched and left to wait out the cold under whatever the sky sends down. The same crew doesn't stop working when the flowers do — the walking path along the river still gets used year-round, storm or none, and it still needs to be clear. An Idaho Falls winter is long enough that a path left unshoveled even a few days packs down to ice under foot traffic, so the window to get it right is usually one morning, not two. There's a rhythm to it that isn't so different from spring planting: read the ground, read the weather, get ahead of it before the public does. Dog-walkers come through at first light to find the path bare again, waiting the same patient way the beds underneath it are.
