Leaf Busters

About Leaf Busters

In October the cottonwoods along the Snake River Greenbelt let go all at once, and half of Idaho Falls wakes up to a yard buried in gold. Leaf Busters works those weeks the way other people work a harvest — raking, blowing, hauling, until the turf underneath comes back into the light. The rest of the year is mowing, trimming and edging, keeping lines clean while the grass still wants to grow. Fall cleanup here is not tidiness for its own sake; a lawn that goes into an eastern Idaho winter smothered comes out of it thin and sad. So each visit ends with the beds cleared and the edges crisp, and the last load leaves before the first hard freeze.
