About Idaho Disaster Pros

When a real system drops off the plateau and turns Highway 20 near the airport into a whiteout, Idaho Disaster Pros is the crew headed out into it rather than waiting for the wind to quit. Idaho Falls doesn't usually see the heaviest snow totals in the state, but the open flats east of town give the wind nothing to slow it down, and a storm can pile drifts taller than a truck bumper by morning. Reopening a business lot or a long rural driveway after one of those systems takes equipment built for it, and a crew willing to start before the highway department has even finished the main road. There's real relief in watching a buried parking lot turn back into a parking lot over the course of an afternoon, cars pulling in where an hour earlier there was only a wall of white. The worst storms are exactly when this crew does its most necessary work.
