CDA Snow Removal & Plow treats that opening storm as the real start of the season, running routes along the lake roads and back through the neighborhoods off Honeysuckle before most households have poured their first coffee. Low December light across a freshly plowed loop around the lake, the Selkirks catching what sun there is, is a view this stretch of North Idaho keeps mostly to itself. Routes extend from the lakefront homes down toward Dalton Gardens and out past Rathdrum, depending on where the storm actually landed. Two or three storms into the season, the whole operation runs on its own momentum.
