About Groundwork Excavation

Grain elevators rise up out of the flat prairie ground around Grangeville the way they do all across camas country, landmarks visible for miles before a single farmhouse comes into view. Groundwork Excavation plows the driveways and yard aprons on the wheat farms clustered near those elevators, ground so open that a storm can drift a driveway shut in the time it takes to load a truck at the scale house. Farm equipment needs a clear path to the road at planting and harvest both, so keeping a driveway open through the winter in between matters more here than it might on a smaller lot. Driveways get cleared full width for grain trucks, yard aprons pushed back from shed doors, and any drift built up along a fence line broken down before it spreads further. Out past the elevators, the prairie stays white and quiet until the next truck needs a clear road in or out.
