About Finley’s Tree Service, Certified Arborist, and Forestry Mulching

Grangeville sits at the exact seam where the Camas Prairie stops being farmland and falls away into canyon — wheat one minute, then White Bird Hill and a thousand feet of switchbacks toward the Salmon. Trees on this prairie earned their place: shelterbelts, yard maples, the cottonwoods people set out for shade in a country that offered none. Finley's works at keeping them going, with tree care and pruning that clear deadwood and give a crown room, and attention to tree health when a top begins thinning or the color turns early. Tree removal comes when a tree is past helping, and then it comes down cleanly, in a place where the prairie wind does not forgive a loose plan. In late summer the fields run gold to the edge of the forest, and the shade in town is worth every cut that made it.
