Greenscape Idaho

About Greenscape Idaho

October is the show in Glengary: the western larch turn the hillsides a slow burning gold while the Selkirks go blue-grey behind them, and everything smells like cold pine needles. Greenscape Idaho works right through that turn — mowing while there is still growth in the grass, cutting back what ran wild over the summer, keeping the ground around a house clear where the forest keeps trying to take it back. The soil here is thin and rocky and the growing window is short, which makes a well-kept lawn in this country a small, stubborn achievement. Finish a yard and the line between mown grass and standing timber is suddenly clean enough to see from the road. That contrast is the point, and it never gets old.
