About Urness Industries LLC

Below the bridges near Garden City, the river splits around a scatter of small islands and ponds where ducks ride out the cold on open water even when everything around them freezes. Urness Industries LLC clears the driveways and waterfront paths on the streets closest to those islands, ground low enough that fog off the water settles into frost most nights before the rest of the city sees it. A driveway near the ponds can glaze over before a driveway ten blocks inland even gets its first flake, so those routes get run first on any morning after a storm. Driveways get plowed back to the street, paths cleared to bare pavement, and any ice near a low spot broken up before someone's boots find it the hard way. Out past the islands, the rest of the city wakes up to whatever is left of the storm the waterfront already handled hours before.
