Modern Landscape

About Modern Landscape

The old warehouse blocks in Garden City have become studios and tasting rooms, though the loading docks and back lots freeze over just as hard as when the buildings were still all industrial. Modern Landscape plows those lots and clears the walks in front of the converted buildings, working the district street by street before the first visitors show up for the day. Snow behaves differently across pavement that used to be all industrial, holding shadow and shade in ways a newer lot does not, so certain corners need a second pass long after the rest of the block is clear. Lots get plowed edge to edge, walkways swept to bare concrete, and any ice at a loading dock broken up so deliveries can still get through. It is city work done at the edge of the city, on ground that used to be all warehouses and is something else now.
