The Payette River runs low and dark through the middle of Emmett all winter, throwing off just enough cold breath to frost the bridge deck before the streets ever ice. ElkHorn Hardscapes clears the riverside driveways and walkways on both banks, where a homeowner's front walk can glaze over an hour before the rest of town notices a thing. Snow off the water tends to come in short, heavy bursts here rather than settling in for the day, so timing a plow run right after a squall matters more than working on a fixed schedule. Patios and walkways along the river get shoveled to bare pavers, driveways pushed back to the property line, and any ice underneath treated so a morning walk to the car does not end badly.
