About Diamond Peak Stump Grinding LLC

Freezeout Hill climbs out of the Emmett valley in a long grade, and from the overlook at the top the whole patchwork of orchards and rooftops spreads out white below. Diamond Peak Stump Grinding LLC works the driveways strung along that grade and the foothill roads that branch off it, where wind off the ridge drifts snow sideways across a driveway faster than it falls straight down. A plow that clears a flat lot in town has to work differently up here, cutting drifted snow back from a gate or a mailbox post twice in one storm. The company keeps those foothill driveways passable through the worst of it, blade set low against gravel, piles pushed well clear of propane tanks and wellheads. From up on the grade, a cleared driveway threading down through the sage is about the only proof, some mornings, that anyone lives out there at all.
