Eagle's original townsite sits in a tight little grid just off State Street, older and smaller-lotted than anything built out past it in the last few decades, with driveways barely wide enough for one plow pass instead of two. Landscape Eagle Idaho works that older core of town near the historical museum, where a house might sit close enough to its neighbor that clearing one driveway means being careful not to throw snow straight into the next one over. The lots here catch less wind than the open subdivisions further out, so snow mostly just sits where it falls rather than drifting, which makes for steadier, more predictable work even if the tight spacing slows it down. Narrow driveways ice up fast in the shade of close-set houses, longer than a wide-open drive would in full sun, so this crew treats the older part of town as its own separate weather. Finishing a morning route through those tight, old streets and seeing every narrow drive scraped clean end to end feels like a different kind of job than clearing the wide new lots on the edge of town.
