Fantasy Scapes

About Fantasy Scapes

Downtown Caldwell after dark in January has its own kind of magic — string lights over Indian Creek Plaza reflecting off a fresh skin of snow, the old brick storefronts quiet under it. Fantasy Scapes clears that snow before the town wakes, working driveways and walkways through the residential streets that ring downtown while the creek itself keeps running black and open beneath the ice at its banks. It's careful work, done in the dark, done early — the kind that leaves nothing behind but a clear walk for the morning's first commuter, no sign anyone was ever there. Beyond the plaza and the grid of tree-lined residential streets, the crew treats every home the same, one driveway at a time, until the whole neighborhood is passable again. There's satisfaction in that kind of invisible order, snow banked neatly at the edges instead of scattered across a path someone still has to cross.
