About West Wood, LLC

Where the town gives way to timber on Bonners Ferry's outer edges, driveways don't run straight to the road — they wind back through stands of larch and fir that hold onto snow long after the open fields have shed theirs. This crew works those wooded lanes in the low light of a short winter afternoon, when the trees are already throwing long shadows across a driveway that needs clearing before dark. A single-lane track through timber takes a different kind of care than a wide-open lot; branches hang low, the plow has to thread rather than push, and a wrong turn means a scraped bumper against a trunk. By the time the light fails completely, somewhere back in the timber a porch light clicks on to show a driveway finally clear all the way to the road. It's slow, close work, but out here a cleared driveway is what stands between a household and being stuck until the county gets to the county road.
