About Spudz LLC.

Spudz LLC works its Boise routes into the evening, after the Greenbelt's cottonwoods have gone dark and bare along the river and the last commuters have crossed the bridges downtown. There's a wink in the name, a nod to the state everyone associates with potatoes, but the work itself is plain and physical: clear the drive, clear the walk, stack the snow somewhere it won't refreeze into a ridge overnight. Boise's winter storms tend to arrive off the Owyhees to the south and move through fast, leaving the foothills white and the valley floor slushy by the next afternoon, and this crew works right through that transition. Along the quieter streets off the main river path, porch lights come on early in December, and a driveway cleared before dark is one less thing on anyone's evening. By the time full dark reaches the valley, this crew has usually closed out its list for the night.
