About Vertical Tree Co. LLC

Most yard work looks down. In January, when the poplar windbreaks around Blackfoot stand bare against a white field and every branch is finally visible, it is hard not to look up instead. Vertical Tree Co. LLC keeps the ground beneath those big cottonwoods in order — mowing, trimming, edging, and carrying off the endless litter a mature canopy scatters across a lawn. Shade in uneven patches, roots riding close to the surface, thin spots that want feeding and overseeding: turf under trees is its own puzzle, and it pays back attention. When the leaf fall finally quits and the cleanup is finished, a yard here looks swept and settled, ready for the first snow to come down off the Blackfoot Mountains.
