About C & B Operations

April announces itself here as noise — sandhill cranes dropping into the stubble fields north of town, water moving again, machinery idling in the yards along the highway. C & B Operations works to that same farm-country clock, mowing lawns and open ground around Blackfoot as the valley wakes up and the grass gets ambitious overnight. Properties in Bingham County come big, so the work runs from a tidy town lot to acreage where the mower has to cover real distance and still turn a straight line. Feeding and weeding come first in spring, because a lawn started right in April is a lawn that survives August in high-desert sun. There is a plain pleasure in the last pass of the day: engine off, dust settling, a wide green rectangle sitting neat against the sage.
