About Big D and Sons

When the dam went in, American Falls picked itself up and moved uphill, and the old grain elevator stayed behind, standing out in the water where it still stands. Big D and Sons works the town that came after — the blocks up on the bench, the yards facing the wind that pours off the bluffs where the turbines turn. Mowing, string trimming, edging along walks and curbs: the routine that makes a corner lot look tended rather than merely cut. Spring and fall cleanups get the tumbleweed and leaf drift out of the fence corners before it packs in for good. Nothing green happens here without being asked twice, which is exactly why a kept lawn reads like an answer.
