Connolly Crest Construction works those hillside streets first, since a driveway on an incline glazes over faster and stays dangerous longer than one on flat ground. The crew clears each drive from the garage door to the street and follows up with salt on any stretch that stays in shadow into midmorning. Lower in the valley, near the river bottom, driveways get cleared too, though the cold air that pools there sometimes calls for an extra pass more than extra salt. It's a town built on enough grade that the crew has learned which streets ice first and starts there.
