About 5 Sons, Landscape & Design

Winterset sits on limestone, and you can feel it underfoot on the courthouse square, where the brick storefronts hold the heat of a July afternoon well past supper. 5 Sons, Landscape & Design works the long green middle of an Iowa summer here, the stretch when grass gains an inch overnight and the mowing never quite catches up. There is a plain satisfaction in a straight line laid across a yard, in a trimmed fence row that makes a whole house look looked-after. Mowing, edging, string trimming, cleanups when the season turns them over — simple work carried to a crisp finish. The rounds run through Winterset and the towns close in: St. Charles, Earlham, Truro, Peru.
