AJ's Service

About AJ's Service

In Whittemore the west wind has the whole of Kossuth County to gather speed across, and by the time it reaches town it is carrying half a field of snow. AJ's Service meets it on the far side of the storm, clearing driveways and front walks in the dark blue hour so the first pickup out can roll straight onto the street. When the drifts finally let go and the ditches run with melt, the same hands turn to the grass, mowing yards down to a level, even nap. Summer evenings out here linger, and a fresh-cut lawn catches that low gold light all the way to the property line. Snow work in the cold months and lawn work in the warm ones, for one small prairie town that deserves to look ready for whatever the sky sends next.
