Johnson's Lawn Care

About Johnson's Lawn Care

West Point sits on the rolling ground of Lee County, where the corn runs out to the horizon and the land tips away south toward the Mississippi bottoms. Johnson's Lawn Care keeps the town's yards in order across that long growing season — mowing, trimming, edging, and hauling the clippings off once the heat finally breaks in the evening. There is real satisfaction in a lawn cut on the diagonal before an August afternoon turns heavy, the smell of it carrying three houses down the block. Come autumn the work turns to leaves and one last low pass before frost, so the ground goes into winter tidy. Ordinary work, done one yard at a time, on the streets under the steeple you can pick out from the county road.
