Turfology Lawn Care

About Turfology Lawn Care

Under Des Moines lies some of the deepest black prairie loam anywhere, and a lawn here will do remarkable things if the soil is given a way to breathe. Turfology Lawn Care works from that ground up: cores pulled in the cool of September, seed worked into the openings, feeding timed to the way Iowa turf actually grows rather than to the calendar. Broadleaf weeds get treated where they take hold, and mowing through the season keeps the stand thick enough to crowd most of them out on its own. Around the ridges near Waveland the slopes dry fast and the low corners hold water, so no two yards get the same plan. Come the following spring, the difference shows in the color and in how evenly the grass fills in.
