About Jim's Tree Services

By the time the crossing guards post up near Kendall Young Park, Jim's Tree Services has usually already been through the neighborhood twice. Webster City mornings in January can turn a quiet street into a skating rink fast, and this crew runs the same tight loop every storm — school routes first, then the side streets behind them. Downtown along Second Street, the plows widen what the bigger trucks leave behind, opening up storefront entries so the doors actually swing free. Ice gets knocked back with salt before it can bond to the concrete, and snow from the narrow lots gets hauled off rather than piled where it just slides back onto the sidewalk. It's steady, unglamorous work — the kind that means a kid gets to school without a slip and a shop owner doesn't lose the morning to a shovel.
